School Uniform

From Reception onwards our children wear school uniform in which they take pride and which helps to make them feel part of our whole school community. We wear a blue school sweatshirt or cardigan with an embroidered school logo and blue or white polo shirts. We recommend dark grey or black trousers/skirts and black shoes.

Children should have a change of clothes for PE

  • dark shorts, white t-shirt (football strip is not acceptable) and trainers, although some work is performed in barefeet. For outdoor PE children need tracksuit bottoms, a sweat shirt/hoodie/fleece and trainers.

School uniform is available through Alison Walker in the school office.

School Day

The pattern of our school day is as follows

  • 7.45 Breakfast Club opens for those who wish
  • 8.45 Playground supervision
  • 8.55 Start of the school day
  • 10.30 - 10.45 Morning break
  • 12 - 1pm Lunch
  • 1.00pm Lessons restart
  • 2.15 - 2.30 Afternoon break
  • 3.30 End of the school day

Staff are on duty from 8.45 in the playground to greet and supervise children as they arrive. We ask that children are not brought to school before this time as they will be unsupervised and we do not take responsibility for children arriving before 8.45am unless they are at Breakfast Club.

We use for example only:

  • fresh meat and poultry sourced from the region;
  • fruit and vegetables sourced regionally where possible using local suppliers;
  • products free from additives associated with health problems in young children;
  • fats free from hydrogenated oils;
  • with menus that are nutritionally balanced
